President Rent A Frog
Warren Hunter Prescott, 29, is a smart and creative businessperson and a generous and compassionate "good citizen," according to his nominator, Ellen Ray. Prescott is the president of Rent A Frog Valet, L.L.C., a Fort Worth valet parking company specializing in private parties. It's a business he started out of his apartment. Rent A Frog's staff is made up of current college students from area schools as well as young adults taking a semester off to earn extra money; all are subjected to background checks. In addition, Prescott has developed two subsidiary businesses that fall under the Rent A Frog heading: Event Staff, L.L.C., which provides bartenders, catering assistance, movers, line-standers and manual labor, and Rent A Frog Auction, which will allow college students or local residents to sell their "stuff to other people in the Metroplex. A third emerging business is Golden Triangle Valet, a new company that will operate on Main Street in Grapevine.
Prescott's guiding business philosophy is one he learned from Fort Worth's Roger Williams: "When you walk into a room, make sure people know who you are and what you do. Business rarely just comes to you." It seems to serve him well.
Warren is [an] active contributor to his community; he serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth and gives his time to various committees of the Lena Pope Home.
Prescott graduated from Texas Christian University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Hence the name Rent A Frog. He is married to Courtney Moore Prescott. He enjoys fishing, hunting and working with his two labrador retrievers.
